Who's Coming to Cardiff

Did you know Doctor Who is filmed in Cardiff?

If you're familiar with the city and the surrounding area you've probably noticed a few landmarks and locations in the background, even if they're pretending to be somewhere else.

The city really cashes in on the popularity of the TV series with hotels offering special Doctor Who breaks, guided tours of locations and a new exhibition opening soon in Cardiff Bay.And now to cap it all the city will this spring host the first official Doctor Who Convention. For two days in March the Wales Millennium Centre will be packed with fans and enthusiasts who have a chance to delve into the inner workings of the show and find out how it is created.

Fans will be able to attend panel discussions with stars from the show, see demonstrations from the special effects teams and learn how the wardrobe department design and create the monsters and characters.

The convention takes place on the 24th & 25th March. Tickets cost £99 per day (inc VAT), which covers a whole day of activity from 9am to 6pm and strictly limited to 1,500 per day.

For more information please visit the convention's website.
